Strengthening Professional Connections Across The Information Governance Community.

In the world of Information Governance and Records Management, staying connected to the wider professional community isn’t just beneficial, it’s essential. That’s why I’m pleased to share that I’ve recently become a member of the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS), one of the leading professional bodies supporting Information Governance and Records Management practitioners across the UK and beyond.

For me, joining the IRMS is about more than adding a logo to the website. It’s about being part of a community that champions good practice, encourages knowledge sharing, and brings together people who care deeply about the way organisations manage, protect, and use their information.

As someone who works closely with businesses to bring structure, clarity, and compliance to their digital records, IRMS membership strengthens the professional foundation behind the work I do. Ensuring I stay aligned with evolving standards, emerging challenges, and the collective expertise of the sector.

This membership also complements my existing connection with the Archives and Records Association (ARA) UK & Ireland, where eDocSolutions is already recognised as a member. Together, IRMS and ARA represent two of the most respected voices in the records and archives landscape. Being part of both communities reinforces my commitment to delivering work that meets recognised professional standards and reflects the best of current practice.

Whether it’s through shared learning, networking, or contributing to the wider conversation around digital continuity and information governance, I’m looking forward to engaging more deeply with fellow professionals and bringing that insight back into the work I do for clients.

If you’re interested in how professional standards shape effective records management, or how organisations can improve the way they handle information, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to connect with others who share an interest in building better, more resilient records management environments.
